After defeating Yuki Nonik for Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) junior middleweight title, Nigeria's captain to both the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2003 All Africa Games, Davidson Emenogu is back home.

King Davidson, who is based in Australia and ranked by International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Organization and Australia Boxing Association, where he reigns supreme as light middleweight champion recalled in a chat with brilafm.net how it took him only two weeks to train for the fight.

“When I stepped into the ring for my OPBF title fight, that made me the ABA number one contender, I felt like I never felt in the world.

“I said to my corner men, just keep spraying holy water on me. I needed the anointing of God in my life. I trained for only two weeks then told my coach that I am ready to fight.

‘He was surprised. To God be the glory, I took 12 rounds, but I felt like I had gone only two rounds. That’s how it went and I’m a champion today,” he beamed with satisfaction.
