EAGLES NEED EXPERIENCED STARS - IKPEBA PDF Print E-mail

Former African Footballer of the Year, Victor Nosa Ikpeba has advised Super Eagles handler, Lars Lagerback to work with experienced players in the squad, if Nigeria is to do well at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The former AS Monaco of France star forward told brilafm.net that he was disappointed that Japan/Korea 2002 Eagles handler, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde has eventually confessed that he was forced by The Glasshouse to drop some older players of the squad.

“We cannot make the same mistake we made in 2002. If we are talking about dropping some few players, I know we will go for experience.

“I don’t see why we can’t do well at the World Cup with talented players, those who are doing well in their clubs. We shouldn’t drop them, we need them.

“It’s very sad that Onigbinde that I respect so much can come out to confess that he was forced to drop some certain players.

“It’s very sad in Nigerian football and that’s why we have been suffering for the last eight years,” The Prince of Monaco stressed.
