OPABUNMI WANTS TIME FOR LAGERBACK PDF Print E-mail

One of the Super Eagles fringe players at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea/Japan, Femi Opabunmi has advised that new handler of the team, Lars Lagerback should be given enough time to tinker the team, if Nigeria is to post a good outing in South Africa.

The recuperating former Grasshoppers of Switzerland striker stated in a chat with brilafm.net that since Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have entrusted Lagerback with the job, he must be given total backing.

“We have to give any coach we have in charge time to work, not to worry and hurry him. If we give him time enough time, we will see the best of him.

“If he did not have the best to offer, they would not pick him. I think he has what it takes,” the product of Shooting Stars of Ibadan submitted.
