Nigerian-born Scottish international, Chris Iwelumo may be at the crossroads over his next port of call, as his loan spell from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Bristol City nears an end.

With the former Stoke City and Alemania Aachen of Germany striker having also expressed reservations over his options between both clubs, Wolves manager, Mick McCarthy is now weighing up what to do with Iwelumo, although Bristol have shown an inkling to keep him.

Iwelumo is due back at Wolves later this week but a section of the British media states that The Robins’ boss, Gary Johnson wants to keep him.

With that in mind, McCarthy is reportedly considering an approach from Bristol to extend the Iwelumo’s loan spell for a second month.

“I haven’t decided yet. I sent Chris out to get some games and it might be that we bring him back and it might be that we will let him stay out,” McCarthy said.
